Vessel movements have resumed in the Strait of Hormuz following the ceasefire announcement, reports the ship tracking and analysis service MarineTraffic

“Early signs of vessel activity are emerging in the Strait of Hormuz following a ceasefire announcement, which includes a temporary reopening of the strategic waterway to allow for negotiations,” MarineTraffic informed on social media.

Initial movements are now being recorded. The Greek-owned bulk carrier NJ Earth crossed the Strait at 08:44 UTC, while the Liberia-flagged Daytona Beach transited earlier at 06:59 UTC, shortly after departing Bandar Abbas at 05:28 UTC.

According to MarineTraffic data, hundreds of vessels remain in the region, including 426 tankers, 34 LPG carriers, and 19 LNG vessels, many of which had been effectively stranded during the disruption.
