On 7 May around 14:00, the body of contract serviceman Artak Sergeyi Avalyan, born in 1985, with a gunshot wound, was found at the guard post N of the military unit of the Ministry of Defence, the Armenian Ministry of Defence reports.

An investigation is underway to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
