YEREVAN. – There is a serious economic calculation at the basis of Armenia’s natural gas supply price, and this calculation was conducted as a result of professional studies and financial and economic forecasts, ArmRusGazprom Company Public Relations Service Chief Shushan Sardaryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am, reflecting on management expert Harutyun Mesropyan’s recent claim that Armenia’s consumers could receive natural gas at a price of US$ 240, for example, instead of $360.        

As per Sardaryan, the economic substantiation of the current natural gas supply price—which was set by Armenia’s Public Services Regulatory Commission—was introduced to the public on numerous occasions.   

“I should reiterate that there is a serious economic calculation at the basis of this price. It was also noted that the price does not envision an increase in profit, and it is lot more moderate than it objectively should have been,” Shushan Sardaryan said.
