In parallel with the approaching 100th anniversary of the Armenia Genocide, the authorities of Turkey are preparing to form a powerful Turkish diaspora which will fight against the Genocide’s recognition.

Turkish Deputy PM’s Department on the Turks Living Abroad is getting ready to organize a meeting, on September 15, 2012, with close to 1,000 leaders of the Turkish diaspora organizations and structures, to coordinate the battle against the Armenian Genocide’s recognition, Hurriyet daily of Turkey informs.

It is noted that Turkey will carry out these activities together with the Azerbaijanis who live abroad.

Also, Turkey will attempt to include into these actions the world-renowned men and women of the arts and letters, writers, and directors, and to increase the number of foreign language publications that deny the Armenian Genocide.

Incidentally, September 15 is not a randomly selected date, as the Turkish troops had entered Baku on that day in 1918, Hurriyet highlights.
