Unlike the previous years, this year Armenia’s authorities are much better prepared for the upcoming parliamentary elections, and that is why the incidents have lessened, PM Tigran Sargsyan stated to news reporters on Tuesday, during his visit to the Lori Region.

“I believe you will agree that, unlike the previous years, [now] much more equal conditions are established for all [political] parties,” he said.

Also, the PM noted that the ruling coalition’s Republican Party of Armenia has a special status today, and everyone acknowledges that.

“Since they see a ruling party represented by the Republican, we are obligated to maintain this posture of ours stable, strong and balanced until the end of the elections,” Tigran Sargsyan stressed, and added they will do everything so that the unpleasant incidents would be lesser.

“But sometimes this is impossible to do, because our partners likewise must support us,” the PM concluded.
