The measures to be taken against the Armenian Genocide’s recognition were on the session agenda of the General Council of Turkey’s main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP).

At the session, former diplomat Sukru Elekdag was commissioned to prepare a report on the measures that must be taken against the Genocide’s recognition. The Party will examine this report and subsequently specify the steps to be taken in that direction, the Turkish Turktime website informs.

To note, the CHP was founded by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey.
