YEREVAN. – Armenian capital Yerevan’s Deputy Mayor Vano Vardanyan met with the Minsk city delegation head, Minsk City Executive Committee Vice-Chairman Igor Karpenko. The Belarusian capital’s delegation is in Yerevan to attend the “Yerevan: World Book Capital 2012” celebrations.    

Vardanyan thanked the delegation for partaking in the celebrations, Yerevan City Hall Press Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

He noted that Yerevan gives great importance to expanding ties and carrying out joint projects in urban economy with Minsk.  

In his turn, Igor Karpenko noted that he is marveled at Yerevan, the festivities, and the hospitable residents of the city.  

“I will leave Yerevan with wonderful impressions. Your capital is truly festive,” Minsk City Executive Committee Vice-Chairman said, and stressed that the partnership ties need to be further enhanced.    

Also, Igor Karpenko conveyed to Vano Vardanyan Minsk City Executive Committee Chairman Nikolai Ladutko’s warm greetings to Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, and his formal invitation for the Mayor to visit Minsk.
