Venice want to expand cooperation with Yerevan

YEREVAN. – Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian received Venice Mayor Giorgio Orsoni on Monday. The mayor is in Yerevan in order to participate in the ‘Yerevan the Capital of World Books’ events.

As the press service of the MFA informs Armenian News-NEWS.am, Edward Nalbandian pointed out that Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s visit to Venice last year opened a new page in Yerevan-Venice relations.

Mayor Orsoni stated that the authorities of Venice want to expand cooperation with Yerevan and his visit has also cooperation aims.

Minister Nalbandian thanked Orsoni for Venice’s City Council decision to recognize the Armenian Genocide in 1998.
