YEREVAN. – The elite of the ruling coalition’s senior partner, the Republican Party of Armenia, have planned on securing 77 MPs for themselves as a result of the upcoming parliamentary elections, 168 Zham daily writes.

“They say the ruling elite do not wish to give the [coalition’s junior partner, Prosperous Armenia Party] PAP as many parliamentary seats as it has now [that is,] 29 mandates. Instead, they wish to secure 1-2 mandates more for the [coalition’s other junior member, Orinats Yerkir (Rule of Law) Party] RLP and the [opposition] Heritage [Party].

In this ‘distribution,’ the ruling elite will allocate five percent [that is,] 6-7 mandates to the [opposition] ARF [Dashnaktsutyun Party].

And, according to the same sources, 10-13 percent will be ‘allocated’ to the [opposition bloc Armenian National Congress] ANC,” 168 Zham daily writes.
