Relatives and friends of the air crash victims might return to Armenia on Sunday, Spokeswoman of the Commercial Aviation Authoriy Nelly Cherchinyan told NEWS.am today. It is expected that victims’ relatives (17 of 53 are Armenian citizens) will return to Armenia afer the public prayer in Armenian St. Sargis Church on July 19. On Sunday, a special service to commemorate victims of the air crash will be held in Mother See Holy Etchmiadzin.

Cherchinyan said it is unclear yet when and whether the remains of Armenian victims of the air crash will be transported to Armenia.

TU-154 heading Tehran-Yerevan route crashed at 11:33 a.m. local time near Qazvin with 168 passengres aboard, including 15 crew members. All were reported dead. There were over 30 Armenians, of which 5 – Armenian citizens, NEWS.am informs.
