YEREVAN. – A fire broke near the monument located in the vicinity of the US Embassy in Yerevan.

The fire had started at midnight on Thursday, the Rescue Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.  

A firefighting squad was dispatched to the scene, and the fire was extinguished on Friday at 12:17am.

Electricity cords and cables were destroyed by the fire.
