PRAGUE. – Capital city of Czech Republic Prague held on May 26 event dedicated to the victories of Armenians in May and Armenia’s First Republic Day. Armenian Ambassador to the Czech Republic Tigran Seyranyan delivered a speech touching upon the 1918 fight, establishment of Armenia’s First Republic and its significance.

He also stressed the importance of the Armenian people’s participation in the World War II, the liberation of the Armenian ancient Shushi city in Nagorno-Karabakh and the establishment of the Karabakh Army. Afterwards, famous photographer and FotoArt magazine editor-in-chief Garik Avanesyan exhibited photos taken in Karabakh during the May 9 celebration and also screened some parts from the Wounds of Karabakh movie by Bulgarian journalist Tsvetana Paskaleva.

The event was organized by the Armenian Embassy in Czech Republic, as well as the Days and FotoArt magazines.
