YEREVAN. – Reports that Armenian Diaspora Minister’s adviser in the Netherlands Smbat Martirosyan collects 80 euro from participants of the Come Home project are false, the Ministry’s secretary Tevos Nersisyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

He also added that they have contacted families of the project participants to clarify whether reports are false. The person who spread such information has personal problems with Martirosyan and tries to blackmail him. That person is currently in the Netherlands and will be sued in that country for libel.

To note, earlier the ‘We Will Not Keep Silent’ initiative released a statement claiming that Martirosyan demanded money from the project participants. The initiative had contacted the participants, who indeed confirmed the reports. The initiative then contacted the head of the Armenian communities in Europe at the Diaspora Ministry Hrachya Aslanyan, who promised to find out everything and in case of positive answers to dismiss Martirosyan.
