YEREVAN. – Euro-2012 championships will kick off in Poland and Ukraine on Friday. Armenian News-NEWS.am tried to find out what the favorite teams of the Armenian political figures are and whom they support. Some politicians are not interested in football at all, while there also are real fans of some teams.

 ARF Dashnaktsutyun (ARFD) member Spartak Seyranyan is a great fan of football and he believes the German team to win the championship.

Opposition Republic Party leader Aram Sargsyan also will follow the matches, however, he does not want to predict the results.

Orinats Yerkir member Davit Karapetyan and Prosperous Armenia Party MP Ruben Gevorgyan also will follow the matches.

Opposition Heritage group head Ruben Hakobyan will definitely follow the championships and will support the Spain.

At the same time, opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) member Aram Manukyan sees football not as a play but a beautiful show.

Another ANC member Gagik Jhangiryan and ARFD MP Vahan Hovhannisyan are absolutely not interested in football.

To note, the Euro-2012 prize fund is an unprecedented amount of 197 million euros.
