YEREVAN. – Rafik Grigoryan will be appointed governor of Armenia’s Gegharkunik Region, the Government’s official website informs.

He will replace Prosperous Armenia Party member Nver Poghosyan at this post. 

Grigoryan is an MP and member of the ruling Republican Party’s Parliamentary Faction.

He worked as Gegharkunik’s Deputy Governor from 1999 to 2003, and he is an MP since 2003. 

To note, the matter of his appointment was included Wednesday on the agenda of Thursday’s Cabinet meeting.
