YEREVAN. – Armenian Government’s program was a package of wishes, and not of actions, stated Alexander Arzumanyan—former FM, opposition Free Democrats Party member, and MP—during a press conference on Friday.
Reflecting on the idea of having an Ethics Committee at the Parliament, he noted that this is not a bad idea, especially if it will be headed by an opposition member.
Also, he recalled that a mere six months have left before the presidential elections and added: “Time will tell as to who works in whose favor.”
And to the query as to whether the opposition could run in the upcoming elections with a united candidate, Arzumanyan responded by saying this is very important because the people rebel after presidential elections, and therefore the opposition is obligated to run with a united candidate.
As per Alexander Arzumanyan, a separation process is currently underway among Armenia’s political opposition.
