VANADZOR. – The number of cattle increased in Armenia’s Lori region, but the numbers of other domestic animals decreased.

The number of pigs, for example, decreased because in 2010 plague spread in several communities in Lori. The low numbers of pigs are also caused by the increase in nutriment prices.

Even though cattle production continues to grow, farmers still complain of the supplemented milk prices. Currently farmers sell the milk for AMD 90-120 per liter. According to them, these prices are not profitable.
