YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Deputy PM and Territorial Administration Minister Armen Gevorgyan on Wednesday received Iran’s newly-appointed Ambassador Mohammad Reisi, the Ministry’s press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am

The Deputy PM noted that Armenian-Iranian relations are dynamically developing in the recent years and their agenda has very interesting and ambitious projects. 

Gevorgyan also remarked that Armenia’s some regions and Iran’s provinces are successfully collaborating, at present, but these relations have a huge potential for growth. 

“Such-level contacts are very practical, arrangements are reached on concrete programs which secure concrete results, and this contributes to the increase in goods turnover,” said Armen Gevorgyan.      

In his turn, Ambassador Reisi assured that he will do his utmost in developing ties between Armenia and Iran. He also informed that he is currently researching as to which Iranian province has which commonalities with Armenia’s regions, so as to expand cooperation.  

In addition, the interlocutors discussed matters concerning Iranian Internal Affairs  Minister’s upcoming visit to Armenia.
