Armenian police continue fight against corruption

YEREVAN. – Armenia’s police continues actively fight against corruption, high ranking police representatives said at a press conference on Friday.

According to deputy police chief of Armenia Arthur Osikyan, the situation is far from perfect and there are still people in police system who should be dismissed, while another high ranking police representative Hunan Poghosyan claims that not only police but also the whole society should make efforts for eliminating the negative phenomenon.

Regarding the question of one of the journalists addressed to the deputy head of Yerevan Police Robert Melkonyan, and the latter’s activity in Facebook social network, Melkonyan said that police also has intellectuals and advised the interested parties to organize a dispute.
