NKR President discusses state-church ties with Artsakh Diocese Primate

STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, President Bako Sahakyan on Saturday received Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan.

Archbishop Martirosyan congratulated Bako Sahakyan on being reelected NKR President. Artsakh’s spiritual leader also wished success to the Head of State in implementing the planned projects, raising the people’s welfare, and developing the homeland, Office of the NKR President informed Armenian

Issues related to state-church ties were discussed during the meeting. The interlocutors underscored the need to further deepen and expand these relations, considering them to be one of the key foundations for state building.
