Cape Verde citizens tried to enter Turkey from Armenia

YEREVAN. – The citizens of Cape Verde attempted to enter Turkey from Armenia, head of the FSB Russian border guard detachment in Armenia Victor Vlasov told reporters on Saturday.

“Two weeks ago two citizens of Cabo-Verde were detained. They tried to enter Turkey. The violators were arrested and deported to their country,” Vlasov said, adding there were violations from the Turkish side as well.

All the attempts to illegally cross the border were prevented in due time.

To note, Russian border guards serve on the Armenian borders with Turkey, the length of which is 270 km, and Iran, the length of which is about 35 km.
