YEREVAN. – The HayExtreme-2012 festival is welcomed by those dealing with extreme sports in Armenia, head of the windsurfing club in Yerevan, functioning since 2007, Mher Tovmasyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The club’s current problem is lack of surfing boards meeting international criteria and the club participants cannot attend the international tournaments due to it. If the Armenian athletes participated in Olympics, they would have succeeded in windsurfing.
To note, the HayExtreme-2012 festival is held by the initiative of the aforesaid club and supported by the Armenian MOD, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and Yerevan city hall.
