Armenian opposition activists organize flash mob

YEREVAN.- Youth wing of the Armenian National Congress opposition bloc organized a flash mob in Northern Avenue, Yerevan.

The action was dedicated to the incident of August 9, 2011 after which several opposition activists were detained.

Seven opposition activists were detained for a fight with police officers. Later 6 activists were dismissed provided they do not leave the country. Tigran Arakelyan is the only one who was in jail.

The court cast the verdict for the four opposition activists on July 20 sentencing Arakelyan to 6, Karapetyan to 3, Gevorgyan and Kiramijyan to 2 years of imprisonment.
