YEREVAN. – At JATA International Tourism Forum, which was taking place in Tokyo from September 20 to 23, the Azerbaijani delegation attempted to distribute a large amount of anti-Armenian propaganda material to the event participants and visitors.

Subsequently, the delegation from the National Competitiveness Foundation of Armenia (NCFA) requested the exhibition organizers to address the Azerbaijani provocation and to do away with the offensive materials. JATA authorities responded promptly and, as a result, the Azerbaijani materials were removed from the exhibition.

Due to vigilant counteraction, Azerbaijan’s efforts to use international tourism platforms for spreading anti-Armenian propaganda were nipped in the bud yet again, NCFA Public Relations Office informs.

To note, the Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh Republic stand at Top Resa 2012 International Travel Market had suffered damage several days ago, as NKR posters were specifically targeted. The Azerbaijani side had complained about NKR’s participation in the exhibition. Nonetheless, the stand was restored and all information on NKR was widely accessible once again.
