ETCHMIADZIN. – The All Armenian Catholisoc Karekin II received the board members of the World Heritage Cities organization accompanied by the Etchmiadzin city Mayor Karen Grigoryan.

The president of the organization and mayor of the Bimster City (Netherlands) Harry Brinkman presented the Catholicos works implemented by the organization during the meeting.

Karekin II stressed the importance of their mission by welcoming the organization board members’ visit to the spiritual center which aims to preserve spiritual-cultural values of historical cities. Speaking about Armenia’s historical-cultural values, he emphasized that the Armenian people have always shown unique attitude to their values and despite losses and destructions during the centuries, they made efforts in reconstructing their sanctuaries and historical monuments.
