STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) President Bako Sahakyan on Thursday convened a working consultation on matters related to the 2012 State Budget performance and the preparation of next year’s budget.

Sahakyan stressed that the budget should be balanced and it must secure the main directions of the country's socioeconomic development and maintain its social direction. He recalled that such approach has proved its efficiency and has enabled to carry out programs of strategic importance, Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President informs.

The President highlighted the need for a targeted utilization of the budgetary means and ensuring a proper control over this process.

NKR National Assembly Speaker Ashot Ghulyan, Premier Ara Harutyunyan, and other senior officials attended the consultation.
