YEREVAN. – Armenian National Assembly (NA) Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov had a telephonic conve3rsation with Přemysl Sobotka, Vice President of the Senate of the Czech Republic. 

Sharmazanov expressed a delight over the resolution which the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Security of the Czech Parliament recently adopted with respect to the case of the Azerbaijani murderer Ramil Safarov. Underscoring this move by the Czech colleagues, the NA vice chair noted that this step is yet another manifestation of calling it like it is. He expressed a hope that the cooperation between the parliaments of both countries will continue to be effective, NA press service informs.

In his turn, Přemysl Sobotka noted that the Czech Parliament attaches great importance to the protection of human rights and democratic values. Also, he expressed a readiness to further deepen the interparliamentary ties between Armenia and the Czech Republic.
