YEREVAN. – A protest action was held in front of the Armenian presidential residence on Tuesday on the case of a serviceman Artak Nazaryan who died in 2010 during military observations in Ijevan.

The reason of the protest is that the Judge of the First Instance Court of Tavush Region Samvel Mardanyan was trying to close the case, serviceman’s representative and sister Tsovinar Nazaryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

At the same time the pre-investigation body has conducted a partial procedure and the case was submitted in the court as a suicide.

According to Tsovinar Nazaryan, the judge declines all the motivations and claims he may cast a verdict with the proofs which he has. But the proofs are not sufficient and many of them are lacking. The protest participants demand that the case be submitted to the court after re-investigation based on murder.
