BEIRUT. – Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan who is on official visit in Lebanon visited the Haigazian University on Tuesday and met the staff and the students of four leading universities, including the Haigazian, AUB, LAU and Saint Joseph.

“It is a unique feeling, warm and pleasing, to be a guest and deliver a speech in the only Armenian educational institution in Diaspora. The fact that the university is in Lebanon certifies Armenian-Lebanese unique friendship,” Sargsyan said.

He talked about continuing the bilateral friendship, touched upon Armenia’s foreign policy important issues, including Artsakh [Nagorno-Karabakh] peace process, regional issues and challenges, Armenia-Turkey current issues, complicated situation in the Middle East and Armenia’s approaches to the settlements.

Sargsyan also presented Armenia’s economic situation developments, reforms implemented and projects realized in some perspective fields.
