During his official visit to Armenia, the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov on November 29 visited the Yerevan State University, where he was awarded with an honorary doctorate degree from the University.

Praising reception, Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov said his getting the honorary doctorate is an estimate to the whole Turkmen scientific potential.

President Berdymukhamedov also stressed the importance of relations between Armenia and Turkmenistan in the sphere of science, recalling that the Yerevan State University and the State University of Turkmenistan have been cooperating since 2010.

The chancellor of the Yerevan State University noted that the relationship between the universities of the two countries will contribute to the development of scientific and educational relations between the two states.
