YEREVAN. – Decision of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) not to participate in the upcoming presidential elections scheduled for February and not to support any other presidential candidate was not an easy move to make, PAP MP Vartan Oskanian wrote on his Facebook. 

“Several months ago I made public my opinion that PAP should have its own presidential candidate, taking into account the party’s weight, status, having alternative character and chances to come to agree on a joint candidate,” Oskanian wrote.

He explained that PAP made the decision taking into account political environment.
