YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) National Seismic Protection Service recorded a 5.4-magnitude earthquake on Sunday at 5:32pm local time. Its epicenter was the Black Sea, 63 kilometers northwest of the coast of Poti, Georgia, the service informs.  

The tremor measured magnitude 7 at the epicenter area, and its hypocenter was ten kilometers below the sea.

The quake was felt in Armenia, as well. It measured magnitude 3 in Gyumri, Vanadzor, and Tashir cities, and magnitude 2-3 in capital city Yerevan.
