Ukrainian member of parliament Fedor Negoy, who had called “cancerous tumor” the Caucasian merchants at Ukrainian markets, publicly apologized on Friday.

“I apologize for those statements, which were rewritten by the press. I meant [to say] the resellers that include the Ukrainians, the Azerbaijanis, the Armenians, the Georgians, and others. But they transformed my words,” he said, Kherson Online reports.

To note, during a press conference on December 6, Negoy had said as follows: “The Azerbaijanis and Georgians are conducting trade at our markets; this is the cancerous tumor of our country. Russia drove them away, and [now] they settled in Ukraine,” Kherson News newspaper writes.
