A marble tablet, with the Armenian inscription: “College building, Agha Hovakim Seferian, 1891,” was discovered during renovations in the City of Yevpatoria, in Crimea, Ukraine.

The tablet was found nearby the construction where the diocesan school of the local Armenian church will function, Krymskaya Gazeta reports.

“Hovakim Seferian was an Armenian benefactor, with whose donation a building was constructed, in 1892 in Simferopol [city], for the girls of the parish school, as well as an Armenian church and other buildings. Armenian community members of Yevpatoria plan to attach the tablet on the [aforesaid] diocesan school,” Krymskaya Gazeta wrote, Analitika.at.ua informs.
