President of Russia Vladimir Putin congratulated Serzh Sargsyan on re-election after the preliminary results were issued on Tuesday.

In a phone conversation with Sargsyan, Russian leader congratulated his Armenian counterpart on convincing victory. He also wished friendly Armenia peace, stability and prosperity.

President Putin expressed confidence that Armenia-Russia strategic partnership, growing and strengthening bilateral relations headed by newly re-elected president Serzh Sargsyan, will continue to develop for the benefit of two states.
