YEREVAN. – Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan on Thursday received Irakli Alasania, the Minister of Defence of Georgia, who has arrived in Armenia on an official visit.  

The President stressed that Armenia is interested in developing relations with Georgia and added that the mutual visits contribute to this objective, the President’s Press Office informs. 

In his turn, Alasania informed Armenia’s president about the results of his talk, which was held on the same day, with his Armenian counterpart, during which they had discussed the avenues for deepening cooperation between the two countries in the military sector.   

Pointing to the attitude and the policy of the government of Georgian PM Bidzina Ivanishvili, Alasania stressed that developing strategic ties with Armenia is among the priorities of Georgia.
