YEREVAN. – The American national currency’s average exchange rate, against the Armenian dram (AMD), comprised AMD 415/$1 at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Wednesday.

To note, no dollar transactions were conducted at the stock exchange on Tuesday, and therefore the aforesaid exchange rate is a 0.93-percent—or an AMD 1.83—rise from the previous trading session on Monday. So far, this is the sharpest increase in the exchange rate for this year and, also, the US currency’s highest stock exchange rate in Armenia since July 10, 2012.     

Wednesday’s sales totaled $4.5 million at the stock exchange.

The American dollar’s buying exchange rate soared all the way to AMD 414/$1, at the cash foreign currency market of Armenia, and its minimum selling exchange rate is at AMD 415/$1.
