YEREVAN.- Central Electoral Commission (CEC) approved schedule of free airtime provided by  Armenia’s public television and radio to the political parties running in the elections to the Yerevan Council.

The Commission also set schedule of free and paid TV and radio airtime for political parties and blocs.

To note, the Yerevan Council election is slated for May 5, and the participating political forces will vie for 65 Council seats. The parties’ respective lists will be registered until Sunday. The election campaign will kick off on April 7 and come to an end on May 3. The Yerevan Council election will be held with proportional lists only.

CEC has registered six parties and one bloc: the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), “Barev, Yerevan” bloc, Prosperous Armenia, Armenian National Congress, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, Orinats Yerkir and Arakelutyun.
