YEREVAN. – The World Health Organization data says China registered 109 H7N9 in fection cases, 22 out of which were fatal, chief expert at anti-epidemic center of the Armenian Health Ministry said.

Liana Torosyan said H7N9 is a new subgroup of influenza viruses that normally circulate among birds but human infections were detected.

“There is no indication that it can be transmitted between people,” she told reporters on Monday.

The chief expert at anti-epidemic center noted that the danger of H7N9 is that the human body is not familiar with the virus. Liana Torosyan urged to avoid self-treatment and consult a doctor.
