YEREVAN. – An open house was held Thursday at the American Councils for International Education office in Armenia.  

The event was devoted to 20th anniversary of the American Councils’ engagement in Armenia.

American Councils Armenia Country Director Elvira Dana welcomed the audience with opening remarks. She stressed that the American Councils enable people to achieve success in the tightly interconnected world. She also thanked all those that have supported and encouraged the American Councils’ activities in Armenia, over the course of the past twenty years, and for their ongoing cooperation and support in education programs.

To note, the American Councils for International Education: ACTR/ACCELS office in Armenia was established in 1996. In this short period the American Councils has implemented more than a dozen of programs in Armenia funded by the US Government providing over 1,200 high school and university students, educators, and faculty members with the opportunity to study, research and get professional training in the US schools.
