YEREVAN. – Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan on Tuesday visited the US Embassy, in connection with the forthcoming United States Independence Day.

On this occasion, Sargsyan congratulated Ambassador John Heffern, the Embassy staff, and the people of the United States.  

Also, the President issued a congratulatory message to US President Barack Obama. 

“The ties between our countries have increased and we are at the culmination of interstate relations. We highly appreciate the practical support which the United States provides to Armenia. We look toward using the potential in bilateral relations and raising our relations to a new level.      

“The US engagement in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict deserves a special praise. We are convinced that your administration will continue its active mediation mission and contribute to the establishment of a stable and long-lasting peace in our region,” President Sargsyan’s message to Obama reads, in particular.
