MOSCOW. – The members of an ethnic criminal gang, which comprised four Azerbaijanis, were detained in Moscow.

A 26-year-old girl from Saint Petersburg likewise was detained. They were robbing jewelry stores.    

The criminals used firearms during the robberies, the Russian Federation Ministry of the Interior press service informs.  

According to the available information, the culprits carried out dozens of robberies in Saint Petersburg alone.   

A Makarov-model pistol, with five bullets, was seized during the arrest of the gang. In addition, 1.5 kilograms of expensive jewelry, with the labels of the robbed jewelry stores, was found in the homes of the detained.
