ETCHMIADZIN. – Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II on Wednesday received Lithuania’s newly appointed Ambassador to Armenia, Erikas Petrikas.

Karekin II congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and wished him a productive activity during his diplomatic mission in Armenia. 

The Catholicos and the Lithuanian ambassador reflected on the friendly ties between the two peoples, and the diplomatic relations and expanding cooperation between Armenia and Lithuania. In this context, they underscored the role of the Armenian community in Lithuania.    

Also, Karekin II and Erikas Petrikas made a particular reference to relations between the Armenian Apostolic Church and its sister Churches.
