Nagorno-Karabakh continues military buildup and the last two years have been successful in this context, Karabakh Defense Minister Movses Hakobyan told reporters.

“We have never had a situation which we have now in terms of obtaining concrete weapons and military hardware,” RFE/RL Armenian service quotes Hakobyan.

However, the Minister did not specify the types of new weaponry received by the Karabakh Defense Army.

Expressing concern over Azerbaijani purchase of new weapons, Movses Hakobyan said Azerbaijan is not strong enough to launch a new war and win. He noted that more anti-personnel mines have been place along the border.
