UK Prime Minister David Cameron shared concerns of actor Stephen Fry concerning rights of gay people in Russia, but opposes boycotting the games.

“I share your deep concern about the abuse of gay people in Russia...However, I believe we can better challenge prejudice as we attend, rather than boycotting the Winter Olympics. DC,” Cameron wrote on Twitter.

Three days ago famous British actor and writer Stephen Fry has sent an open letter to UK Premier and Olympic movement members, calling to cancel Sochi Games. Fry has likened the Sochi Olympics to those held in Berlin under Nazi Germany.
