YEREVAN. – A criminal case is instituted in connection with the fact that Hakob Injighulyan has not returned to the military position.

The Armenian Defense Minister’s press secretary, Artsrun Hovhannisyan, informed the abovementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am

“Hakob Injighulyan’s actions lack crime. It is proved that he found himself in the adversary-controlled territory solely as a result of getting lost and, if he returns home, no criminal prosecution will be launched against him,” Hovhannisyan added.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, Armenian soldier Hakob Injighulyan (born in 1991) found himself in the territory under the control of the adversary. According to preliminary information, Injighulyan turned up there on August 8 at around 3am, while carrying out his military service, by crossing the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR)-Azerbaijan border, and as a result of losing his orientation in the area. An investigation is underway to determine the details of the incident, the NKR MOD press service had informed.
