YEREVAN. – The Ministry of Diaspora of Armenia has made a request to benefactors.  

“As a result of the ongoing war in Syria, about 10,000 Syrian Armenians have moved to Armenia. If they have a roof [over their head], the warmth that is shown toward them in the homeland will be full.    

“To have the Syrian Armenians settle in the Motherland, the New Aleppo district will be built adjacent to Ashtarak city. [But] aside from the funds allocated by the state, the assistance by benefactors, sponsors and the whole community likewise is indispensable to build the new district.    

“To have the New Aleppo district built, you can make your contribution by making remittances to the [bank] account numbers that are opened specifically for this objective,” the Ministry statement reads, in particular.
