STEPANAKERT. – The Azerbaijani side violated the ceasefire, at the line of contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces, around 200 times in the passing week.

During this time, more than 1,000 shots were fired in the direction of Armenian positions, the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Defense Army informs.

But as a result of the retaliatory operations by the NKR Defense Army vanguard units, the adversary’s “activeness” at the frontline was stopped. The Defense Army units established full control along the entire length of the line of contact.

Azerbaijan has violated the ceasefire, at its boundaries with Armenia and the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, 7,960 times in the first seven months of 2013.
