The Department of Tourism of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) is preparing a tourist route in Shahumyan Region, Department Head Sergey Shahverdyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In Shahverdyan’s words, the route plan is being developed, and places are being selected for the construction of settlement areas.

“Dadivank Monastic Complex will be the key point,” he added.

Work is also continuing at the South Corridor, which leads to Martuni and Hadrut Regions of NKR.

“We have virtually completed the upkeep of the surroundings of the two-millennia-old fig tree in Skhtorashen village, and the first phase of the reconstruction of the melik [i.e., prince] palace of Togh village,” Sergey Shahverdyan added.
