The victims of the tragedy that hit the United states on September 11, 2001 will be remembered for the twelfth year.  

The terror attacks, which claimed the lives of 3,000 people, have become a turning point in terms of the domestic and the international policy of the United States.

The families of the victims and the rescue workers will be on hand at Wednesday’s events to be held at the National September 11 Memorial, which was opened on the tenth anniversary of the tragedy.

In the evening, two light beams, which symbolize the twin towers of New York City’s World Trade Center, which was destroyed as a result of the terror attacks, will soar toward the sky. They will disappear at dawn, reports RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.
